Welcome to my Blog!! Your online source for info to help solve IRS Tax Liens, Wage and Bank Levies

By Larry Weinstein, CPA | November 30, 2007

Welcome to my Blog!! I will be hosting an on-going dialogue concerning issues related to IRS Problem Resolution, such as IRS Tax Liens, IRS Wage Levies and Wage Garnishments, Bank Levies.

Specifically, we will discuss how to keep these problems from happening in the first place.  And if they do, what you need to do to solve your IRS problems and how to get back your life.

Come back often and I will share my knowledge as well, as some of the interesting cases I am working on, what the problem was and the strategies and solutions we developed to solve the problem. (names of course, have been changed to protect client confidentiality).

What do I do if after the sol has expired, the IRS continues to garnish my check?

I assume you mean SOL=Statute of Limitations….The 10 Yr statute is from the date of assessed tax….Some of the problems could be…1) at some point along the line, you filed for an offer in compromise 2) you filed bankruptcy…both of these would serve to extend the Statute of Limitations… Another problem you might have is that the year in question, is not the problem….there may be other years, that are causing you problems…IE you think the problem is 1995, when in fact it is really 2001.

Or it is always possible that the IRS has made a mistake.
